Toronto, ON - Some of Canada’s best and brightest musicians will grace the stage of Hugh’s Room Live for All Together Now: A JAZZCAST Celebration of International Jazz Day. The evening will not only be one Toronto’s contributions to this world-wide event, it will also launch one of the most exciting things to happen to Jazz radio in years: JAZZCAST.ca.

The evenings top-tier talent includes: Laila Biali (2019 Juno Award-Winner for Vocal Jazz Album of the Year), Juno-nominated vocalists Alex Pangman and Heather Bambrick, renowned saxophone superstar Pat LaBarbera, eminent guitarist Ted Quinlan, multi-faceted pianist Michael Shand, bassist extraordinaire Ross MacIntyre, versatile guitarist Michael Occhipinti, highly sought-after drummer Ben Wittman, and other surprise guests throughout the night.

Besides adding to UNESCO and The Herbie Hancock Institute’s Jazz Day global calling, All Together Now: A JAZZCAST Celebration of International Jazz Day will also raise support for JAZZCAST.ca, an online radio station born out of a grassroots operation in Toronto featuring 24/7 music that’s jazz and jazz-inspired. Co-founded by broadcast veterans Dani Elwell, Walter Venafro and Garvia Bailey, along with JUNO-nominated jazz vocalist Heather Bambrick, JAZZCAST will also feature shows from across Canada and around the world, with hosts including Rich Brown ( rinsethealgorithm), Chris Butcher (Heavyweights Brass Band), Brendan Canning (Broken Social Scene), Duchess, Cory Weeds , CeĢline Peterson, Shakura S’Aida, Alex Pangman, CoCo Jazz and more.

Full programming will begin on May 1 and the evening’s musical contribution to International Jazz Day is the perfect way to launch JAZZCAST into the global jazz community and raise awareness and support.
